Jetson grew up in Palm Beach County. He moved to San Francisco to attend college in 2001 and became interested in regenerative farming and food security while living there. He received his certificate in ecological horticulture from the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems at UC Santa Cruz in 2007 and has spearheaded and managed multiple urban educational farms throughout the United States. Jetson joined the Westgate Community Farm in 2019.

Jetson is passionate about working with the community to improve environmental, food, and community health.

Before Joseph became part of the Westgate Community Farm team he was already part of the community. He had been volunteering at the farm for the past year and had become a weekly fixture on market days. Joseph has lived in Florida, Columbia, and Canada and had experience gardening in very different climates before coming to us. We are excited to have him join our team and continue to bring his enthusiasm and community minded approach to our farm community on a daily basis.
